All American Speed & Strength

PaulCoach Paul Martinez

I have been training athletes for over twenty-five years. I started out as a Strength Coach, spending most of my time in the gym. The past 15 years I have been working with athletes on improving their speed and explosion. I have spent the better part of a decade teaching and coaching at Taft High School. As the school’s Speed & Strength Coach I had the opportunity to work with athletes of all sports and abilities. I ran their Summer Speed & Strength Program, working with hundreds of athletes. For seven of those years I was the Head Track Coach; I built the program from a couple dozen athletes to over 90 athletes. In those seven years we won 6 SSL League Championships and three Central Valley Runner Ups. I also helped lead their football team to Win its first Valley Championship in over 70 years. For the past 6 years I have been the Owner/Operator of All American Speed & Strength. In that time I have trained some the County’s finest athletes. I have been running Speed & Strength Camps for the past 10 years. I believe that I have developed one of the most comprehensive speed camps around. I have also had the pleasure of being asked to speak at several Coaches Clinics on the subject of Speed & Conditioning.

I have trained several Division I scholarship athletes: including Dalton Botts (Punter, Quarterback) of the Miami Hurricanes, Team Captain Megan Thompson (Track and Cross Country) of CSUB and starting Tailback for the NAU Lumberjacks Corbin Jountti. I have trained several of Bakersfield College athletes. Including their premier tailback of their 2008 Championship season Ben Estil. I have had the pleasure of training hundreds of Kern County’s Finest Athletes over the past two decades.

I received my BS from CSUB. I also have two separate Teaching Credentials and I am currently working on my Masters in Education and Public Administration. I have attended dozens of Speed & Strength Clinics and Workshops throughout the State for the past decade. I have also had the pleasure of working with USA and UCLA’s Sprint coach Tony Veney on many occasions.

I am a certified Nike SPARQ (Speed Power Agility Reaction & Quickness) Trainer; I am also a member of the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) and the NASE (National Association of Speed and Explosion). I also have my SAQ (Speed Agility & Quickness) certification. I am certified in CPR and Advanced First Aide.
